The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the registration schedule for the 2025 Board Examinations. The registration process, also known as the List of Candidates (LOC), began on August 29, 2025.
This year marks a major change for Class 10 students — there will be two board exams instead of one. The ongoing registration is for the first board exam, which is compulsory for all students.
Two Exams for Class 10: For the first time, students of Class 10 will face two board exams in an academic year. The registration currently open is for the first exam.
👉 Students should ensure that all details are submitted well before the last date to avoid last-minute technical issues or penalties.
Here’s a clear breakdown of the fees for both Indian and overseas candidates:
Category | Fee for 5 Subjects | Fee per Additional Subject |
---|---|---|
India | ₹1600 | ₹320 |
Outside India | ₹11,000 | ₹2200 |
💡 Note: The fee must be paid by the school on behalf of students during the registration process.
The CBSE has introduced two board exams in Class 10 to reduce exam stress and encourage continuous learning. Out of the two exams, the first exam is mandatory for all students. Performance in these exams will be taken into account for the final assessment.
Schools will collect student details and submit them through the official CBSE portal.
The CBSE Board Exam Registration 2025 is a crucial step for both Class 10 and 12 students. With the introduction of two board exams in Class 10, this year’s registration process is more significant than ever. Students should carefully complete the LOC through their schools, pay the fees on time, and get ready for the first phase of the upcoming board exams.
